I am continually disappointed that we are becoming the bad guys. Let’s start by impeaching Hegeseth and Noem, then Trump. (I know @algreen.house.gov and other reps have introduced the articles for Trump more than once. 🙏)
Himes: "What I saw in that room was one of the most troubling things I've seen in my time in public service ... any American who sees the video that I saw will see the US military attacking shipwrecked sailors."

My groceries, property taxes, and insurance are more expensive. Friends are losing medical coverage bc it’s unaffordable. My state might lose SNAP again next month.

I’m appalled at secret police, inhumane ICE detention, war crimes… Thought these things wouldn’t happen in US anymore. @nytimes.com
The New York Times is interested in hearing how President Trump’s sweeping changes — for example, on immigration, education, health and the economy — are affecting communities all over the U.S.

Are these changes making your life in America better or worse? Tell us in the form below.

While unionized Starbucks workers are on strike for a fair contract, don’t cross the picket line!

Show solidarity — like Zohran Mamdani and Bernie Sanders.

Listen to what they had to say.

My bipartisan IRS MATH Act with Senator Bill Cassidy is now law.

Now, if you mess up your taxes, the IRS has to tell you where you made a mistake and how to fix it.

No more spending a fortune on lawyers or hours to find errors.

That means fewer headaches and more money in your pocket.

Wow had to delete my post where I was *not looking to find an illustrator, bc someone emailed me saying thanks for *commissioning them* to do my cover art.

How bizarre! Does that actually work for people? 🤯 #authorsky

For real. I’d like to do lots of shopping local, eating at cute restaurants, grabbing a coffee from the local coffee shop…. But the truth is, I’m really not spending a lot of extra money at all. Most of my dollars are accounted for, and I’m just glad I have enough of them to pay my bills.
Around 70% of the U.S. economy depends on consumer spending. As wealth concentrates in the richest 10%, the rest of America can’t afford to buy enough to keep the economy running. This is a huge problem — and even America’s most powerful CEOs are starting to sound the alarm.
Our Economy Is in Danger. Here’s Why

Went to the gym this morning and did some errands while the kids were at my mom’s setting up the manger. Grateful for “the village” — most of which is my mom! #gymsky #punk

Happy Thanksgiving!

Drafted my family into our first Turkey Trot, which displeased the younger crowd. 🤪 Went for my own jog when we got home!

Grateful for health, family, and friends. Nothing in life is guaranteed. 🙏

Omg @stephaniesb.bsky.social @maccagan.bsky.social I called these people mammogram billing place today and they said to disregard the bills and that they were going to bill my insurance! So why are you sending me these?

So I asked about the $500 I already sent them last month and they said…
All right, I need the money friends to weigh in…. Had to get 2nd mammo, not covered since I hadn’t met deductible. Ok fine, paid $504. Check was cashed.

Today I got TWO bills for this same mammo, total over $1K! I will call tmo but is there anything in particular I should say?? Aside from…

Seriously I am a specials teacher. I would be thrilled to get a chapstick. 😆🤷🏻‍♀️
👍👍

My husband and I put a cost limit for each other. And the budget for the rest of my fam is smaller overall. Maybe no cards. 🤷🏻‍♀️ At least not the printed ones. Teachers are getting chapstick. There is just too much stuff this year.

Universal healthcare tomorrow if we prioritized people over pharmaceutical profits and insurance company shareholders. Every other developed nation manages it. We choose not to because both parties are bought by the healthcare industry. It's not about affordability it's about who owns Congress.
