It’s weird how the “if you haven’t done anything wrong then you don’t have anything to worry about” crowd is trying to illegally shield what they’re doing from journalists who are acting 100% within their rights and the law.
We’re just not a free country.

Any American watching this play out between regime forces and journalists overseas would recognize it for what it is.

This is one of the things that I find is most shocking to people outside Minnesota who don’t realize it yet—the scale at which everyone who isn’t white has been forced into a spectrum of hiding.

Very good article drawing out the Tahrir Square comparison.

I dug into archival witness accounts of the British siege of Boston prior to the American Revolution.

They are remarkably similar to what we're seeing in Minneapolis.

Remarkably similar scenes from Boston and Minneapolis, 260 years apart, show a federal government betraying its founding principles.

Since July, I've tracked at least 2,300 cases in which federal judges have ruled ICE has illegally detained people without bond or due process.

This is one that stands out:

During the Bicentennial Celebration at Independence Hall on July 4, 1976, President Gerald Ford sat symbolically behind Marian Anderson as she read the text of the Declaration aloud. On this 250th anniversary, the President is ordering factual information about slavery to be removed from that site.
Signs about the history of slavery in the U.S. and the 9 people George Washington enslaved are being removed right now at the President’s House Site in Philadelphia, across from Independence Hall, months after the Trump administration threatend to do so.

The cuts will enable the state to absorb the rising costs of Medicaid and fully fund K-12 for another year. But they didn’t eliminate the state’s structural deficit, which will require ongoing cuts…
