I just don’t see how we can pretend even for a moment that anything involving our federal government is remotely normal when the president is covering up his involvement in a child sex trafficking ring. Like, what are we doing here

📌We have never made near enough of the fact that 317,000 lives in the United States would have been saved during the COVID pandemic had people just gotten vaccinated.
That's a staggering number, and we have sickos who don't value life like Donald Trump and RFK Jr. to thank for it.

I realize broad science-literacy problems cannot generally be solved just by shoving more facts at people but I really wish more people understood that the entire purpose and mechanism of a vaccine is to educate your OWN immune system, making it about the most "natural" medical intervention possible

Over the next few days, you are going to see me reshare it every time an influential climate scientist points out that no, the southern ocean's overturning current hasn't reversed.

The reviewed article did not even come close to supporting what was in the media release everyone shared.
Please be careful here. Yes, it reports another piece of the climate change picture--see below. But it's not the "catastrophic" development the journalist makes it out to be (based on quoting a notorious social media climate doomer with no scientific credentials).
The truth is bad enough folks! 🧵

working theory: Gmail and Outlook succeeded too well at killing spam, an entire generation grew up without natural immunity

it sucks, but: that "open letter" going around is, fundamentally, pro-spam and anti-trust-and-safety, and a lot of people are getting schmixed by it.

spam is not in the eye of the sender. platforms that provide feedback to spammers are platforms that get gamed into the dumpster. it is an iron law.

Let's talk about these two department store owners: brother and sister Louis Bamberger and Caroline Bamberger Fuld. From Newark, New Jersey.

They are random people, basically. But in the late 1920s, with fascism taking over Europe, they made a choice that profoundly changed the world: 🧵
