To be clear, nothing Epstein did to minors would be legal to do to an adult woman either, the fact that they were minors just makes it like a heinous layer cake of rape and human trafficking.

Have you heard of “The Populist Playbook?”

A few years ago, I posted what I still consider one of my most important messages.

It was about “The Populist Playbook” that I’ve watched play out often over my 33+ years of city planning.

Since then, it’s only gotten worse.

Do the steps sound familiar?

I’m reaching a point in BJJ where the gap between the abundance of youth and the capacity of skill is really starting to narrow. It’s taking so much more focus and commitment to the fundamentals to beat the young and energetic guys on the mats. I’m game, but man is it work.

I would like to say something about AI.

For things like excel, getting an LLM (Claude in this case) to help me build functions has been a game changer. I just don’t have the knowledge or expertise required to efficiently or effectively build what I need. And I don’t necessarily have the resources…

The hypocrisy of Premier Smith's current Chief of Staff, Rob Anderson:

The government is acting like a "dictator" by ripping away legal rights to impose a settlement.

"That's wrong. That's not the Alberta way. That's not what we do here."

NDP leader Naheed Nenshi pulled few punches today…

Not only did he condemn Smith’s claim Peter Lougheed would support her attack on human rights…

He called her and the entire UCP caucus cowards.

The reason why Smith needs to use the notwithstanding clause is because Conservatives tried this in British Columbia in 2001 which resulted in a 15 year long battle - paid for by BC taxpayers, where the Supreme Court ruled it violated their charter rights.

1/4 Notwithstanding Clause.
The Canadian Charter of Rights & Freedoms sets out those rights & freedoms that Canadians believe are necessary in a free & democratic society. The right to strike is considered an "indispensable component" of the freedom of association under Section 2(d) of the Charter.

Where's the premier while MLAs rush through an all-night debate on stripping Albertans of their Charter rights?

An airport lounge, waiting for a flight to Saudi Arabia. She didn't even bother to show up for the vote.

I remember when conservatives turfed premiers for this level of hubris.
