Every year since 1988, the United States has recognized World AIDS Day — until now.

Why not? Maybe because the Trump administration doesn’t want to acknowledge that its foreign aid cuts led to nearly 150,000 deaths from AIDS, according to Boston University researchers.

Shameful.

"Western civilization," the font, the 11 stars - 11 states in the confederacy, for the record.

Why is this never news? Why are we letting our government agencies do this sort of thing while the news agencies report on hallucinated trade deals and act like everything is normal

A reminder for those who are not aware: "remigration" is the process of deporting all non-white people from a country. It includes citizens and is, by definition, ethnic cleansing.

And to be clear: this is not fake. I just screenshot it myself.

First off, this couple is hilarious and I want to subscribe to their podcast and be friends with them.

Breaking: people with “struggle unless they are interested” disorder do well once they can work in an area that interests them
An increase in ADHD after No Child Left Behind is not evidence — it's correlational and diagnoses have been rising for decades.

"Kids don't like school!" also isn't evidence. Kids have always disliked school. Without a comparison to previous cohorts this is meaningless.

This is incredibly moving and she makes so many connections here. One of the hardest to read is her desire to protect her mother from more trauma. What a heartbreak.

Before the midterms of 1866, President Andrew Johnson called his congressional opponents traitors and said they should be hanged.

Voters were so profoundly moved by his words... that they gave his opponents a supermajority in Congress, and the nation got the Fourteenth Amendment.

Here’s a story for every national news outlet:

In N.C., churchgoers are literally running into the woods as federal agents descend on the property.

“Inside the church, women and children sobbed as they wondered whether their loved ones had been taken.”

this is disgusting
The president of the Boston University College Republicans said in social media posts that he repeatedly tipped off immigration authorities about an Allston car wash that was later raided.
BU student brags on social media about calling ICE on Allston car wash workers
ICE raided the car wash. Many of the employees reportedly had legal status, but were unable to immediately provide their documentation when questioned by agents.

Please help me amplify this story. A 13 year old child abducted and forced to self deport is horrific and I fear not enough people know this is happening.
A few weeks ago I wrote about a 13 year old boy from Massachusetts who had been abducted by ICE and sent to a detention center in Virginia. I wrote about the trauma of a child being separated from his family and community, and I posed the question:

What are we doing here?

I have some updates.
