Russia wants the EU to collapse because it’s a military rival.

It needs a pretext for getting rid of the EU that isn’t territorial expansion, though.

So it advances the idea that the EU isn’t democratic (as if Russia was).

The richest man in the world falls for it hook, line, and sinker.
This is so perfect. No one have any doubts at this point about what Elon Musk really represents.

With the pardon of Rep. Henry Cuellar D-TX, who had been accused of bribery and corruption, President Trump has now pardoned 12 members of Congress - 10 Republicans and 2 Democrats. (All but Cuellar had been convicted.)

Republicans will bend over backwards to pass tax breaks for billionaires. But stopping your premiums from doubling? They would rather shut down government than do that. And that's exactly what they are doing.

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) released a climate report that aims to cast doubt on the severity of climate change.

Prominent climate scientists who are cited in it say their work was distorted or misused.

“This isn’t science—it’s propaganda,” says climate expert Ben Santer.

The location is key. National media is unlikely to pay much attention in a place like Spokane. Much easier to move the Overton window on imprisoning people for First Amendment-protected speech there than in a big metro like LA. Thnx @willbunch.bsky.social for recognizing the stakes here.

Largely ignored in a small market, this week's federal indictment of 9 anti-ICE protesters in Washington state, including a former council president, shows how far the Trump regime will go to crush dissent

Based on optics of media coverage, it's surprising that on the chart, Israel's military budget is near the bottom while US, at the top, is nearly 30 times larger.
But “we’re broke”, right? We can’t afford health care, housing, education, etc right?

A budget is a moral document. 🇺🇸

The Senate Republican bill would cut SNAP by $186 billion - 22% by the final year. This would be by far the largest SNAP cut in history and would rip food assistance away from millions of households, including families with kids and veterans.
