Is the birth rate so low because everyone who should be having kids is funding gold-plated pensions that the previous generation decided we should pay for before we were even born?

Every year, billions of vehicles worldwide shed an estimated 6 million tonnes of tire fragments. These tiny flakes of plastic, generated by normal driving, account for 28% of microplastics entering the environment globally.

Heavy vehicles eg SUVs/EVs especially.

Car tyres shed a quarter of all microplastics in the environment – urgent action is needed
Tiny flakes of plastic, generated by the wear and tear of normal driving, eventually accumulate in the soil, in rivers and lakes, and even in our food.

Meanwhile Brazil has a more functional democracy than the US. Maybe if the US could attract more Brazilian immigrants it might rub off on them

Again - the reason the Irish government/nationalists in Northern Ireland wanted a reference to the ECHR in the Good Friday Agreement is that the European Court of Human Rights had held the UK accountable for human rights abuses in NI - whereas "domestic UK and common law principles" had not
One does not simply... rewrite the Belfast/Good Friday Agreement.

They’re planning on building a detention center for migrants in the middle of the fetid swamps of Florida.

If you think this is something new, the first internment camp they sent me and my family to in 1942 was a barbed wire prison called Rohwer. It was located in the swamps of Arkansas.

Trump actually saying that he doesn’t exclude using military force to get control of Greenland is mindbendingly absurd for me as a Norwegian. We have a Nordic defense alliance, also Denmark is a member of NATO.

If the US attacks Denmark… that triggers two military alliances iiuc for Norway.

If natural history had been an option at GCSE I would have known serenity at a younger age
I’ve worked alongside the amazing Mary Colwell for years on the Natural History GCSE & it was *not* a Tory initiative. It was agreed due to huge pressure campaigners brought to it. It’s a pity we’ve got to do it all over again with Labour - but we will!
