there is zero chance the Yankees failed to turn a profit in any year, but especially in 2025 when they were coming off a World Series appearance. If an MLB owner says he lost money, that's like me saying I can fly. You should insist on proof.

(I can't fly, just so no one asks me to demonstrate.)

This is who she was.
Passionate in her beliefs. Fiercely loyal to her friends. Never afraid to let you know exactly where she stood. The best.

Fun Fact: I remember arguing with her over which of us hated Piggy the most. I was sure I did. She disagreed. It remains unresolved...

Until owners open their books, the default assumption should be that they're making money hand over fist and they don't want the players to know it. And opening the books should mean cash flow statements for all affiliated entities, not just showing paper losses for the team.

Our family said goodbye to our family dog of 15 years today. He was the first dog my wife and I owned before we were even engaged. Moved with us to 3 homes, watched our 2 kids be born, got to see 3 Dodger championship. I'm going to miss you Benny.

Contrasting Pat Murphy vs John Schneider in the postgame press conferences, I get why the Blue Jays played so hard. Schneider makes me want to play baseball for him, and I'm 41. The way he defends his players and supports them is so obvious and awesome.

Congratulations to the Toronto Blue Jays on a magnificent season. It is a shame either team had to lose. And this was a gut punch. 💔💔
