What if SPPD showed up and faced off against ICE and positioned as human shields for our neighbors? The violence I see reported is 90-10 on the feds side.

I am parsimonious (cheap) so I try to overwinter plants. And earn rewards now and later. Hibiscus will be very leggy by spring but it is happy now.

See this piece from Midway resident @coleinmidway.bsky.social highlighting two diverging paths of development on University Ave - dense, walkable, immigrant‑led local businesses to the north; and struggling suburban big-box stores to the south. Which way, Saint Paul?🏙️

North of University: The Midway’s Accidental Success Story
North of University represents everything the south side is not — adaptive, tight-knit, walkable — despite being Midway’s less organized, less polished side.

What is going on? Last week at SD 64 DFL mtg someone said "corruption in Walz admn." Now in Strib Jason Chavez says "admn. riddled with fraud". With friends like this making this up, who needs MAGA? Problem is inadequate respon to fraud in private sector, as far as I read, not fraud in admin.

We gotta stop thinking that asking local electeds to post about ICE is effective politics. Tim Walz already went to Maximum Poster in the presidential.

Get trained. Become the person the local elected texts to get your ass onsite when a raid happens. Bring water.

Reporter Andy Mannix from the @startribune.com and I have been speaking to women all over the country about allegations of child sexual abuse in the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church. In Minnesota, leaders of an Old Apostolic Lutheran Church community enabled a child abuser by telling his victims that once the sins were “washed away in the blood of reconciliation,” they could never...

Commentary: Tenants' rights without enforcement ends up asking tenants to absorb bad conditions and rent increases to preserve landlord viability. Tenants living with mold and unsafe conditions are already subsidizing the landlord’s operation with their health. minnesotareformer.com/2025/11/14/i...

I have not used AI much. Asked one how much MN got in Low Income Housing Task Credits. Simple question. Answer was $10.5 b. Further research showed that was total US allocation and MN's was far lower. Caution advised.

Embarrassing to see reactionists blaming Gov Walz for the fraudulent activity that was a result of evil people in our communities taking advantage of systems he put in place to help people. Blame the auditors, the many folks that dropped the ball on reviewing, and the fuckers who did the crime. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I have been either a tenant advocate or tenant for a long time. Wish rent control would work for low income renters. But, global capital goes where-ever if can find the easiest way to make profits. This is happening in The Netherlands where social democracy I dream of has existed for decades.
