The 3rd amendment failed to consider reverse quartering
And actually astonishing when you think about it: The Trump administration's top officials are choosing to separate themselves from the public—more to the point: separate themselves from any visible protest—and live on military bases.

I will take their VM + file system pointed at some text files any day over a black box marketplace run by OpenAI, especially when model-neutral AI platforms with skills support start crawling out of the woodwork.

Anthropic is building a PaaS. So far, it’s a PaaS for one user, I think. They've got isolated VM's/containers, they've thought out support languages for the major languages. simonwillison.net/2025/Oct/20/...

it's just weird how we phrase it as "remote doesn't work" despite all the evidence pointing otherwise, rather than an abject failure of management "i can only run teams if i can physically touch them" and "three hours of traffic and wearing headphones all day is peak productivity"

It’s weird that Apple’s translation app only offers Spain Spanish. The company based in a state with a huge Chicano population couldn’t even pick a dialect spoken on this side of the globe?

It’s even funnier that Live Translation is blocked in the EU

- more time to hang with the fellas (4 day work week)

- more money to spend with the fellas (higher wages)

- more things to do with the fellas (taxing the rich and building 3rd spaces)

I can tell you exactly why it was missed:

A snapshot of Silicon Valley in 2025 is Mark Zuckerberg, now a MAGA-friendly mixed martial arts fan who doesn’t worry much about hate speech on his platforms and complains that corporate America isn’t masculine enough.

This is an agent of the US federal government, armed for live-fire combat against a modern army, slamming a passive and nonviolent female candidate for the US Congress into asphalt.

Then walking away without checking if she has injuries, with his identity concealed behind a black facemask.
moments ago, ice agents again came out of the broadview detention/“professing” facility to escort a silver suv out of the lot.

one of the agents picked up and threw congressional candidate kat abughazaleh to the ground.
