Much like "crab", industrial music is constantly re-evolving from first principles basically anywhere where there's a bunch of metal and plastic laying about

Tonight while delaying bedtime my toddler held a $10 Ukulele and strummed as he shouted "Triangle man! triangle man! triangle man! triangle man!" because he heard Particle Man once this morning and wanted to sing it.

I'd be lying if I said this wasn't everything I hoped for about becoming a dad.
They Might Be Giants (For Kids)

You sung "particle man" as a lullaby & think "Ana Ng" would have been your walk-on song. In the part of the city that used to be a suburb you put out lawn signs for WFP-endorsed candidates & eagerly point out anarchist stickers to your tween

Everyone should be forced to read Wittgenstein for this reason. It would save this world so much trouble if we just strangled linguistic prescription in the cradle.

the point of the Turing Test was not so much to set a test as much as a trap. Turing was "OK, this is the most objective way I can imagine to conceptualize intelligence. If a machine passes this [1] you must either accept the machine to be intelligent or revise the definition"
Since Turing's paper in 1949 there was an immense amount of philosophical discussion that the Turing Test is not particularly useful or important in judging the intelligence of a machine.

Literally have a note that it's poetry env in my co-pilot instructions and it still constantly forgets.
We will have achieved AGI when Claude Code doesn’t also forget to check to see what virtual environment is active in this project.

I'm almost done implementing my programming language, Enzo. It's a toy implementation, and really meant to be more like an art project by a ux designer interested in syntax but I think there are some pretty cool and unique features to it.

I really think at its heart philosophy is one giant battle, taking place over many eras and nations, between people who are basically pleasant bureaucrats and people who are sexy murder poets, and it’s both super important and super boring that the pleasant bureaucrats must win.
