@dawnflythemoore and I had a great time with @GovernorVA and @SuzanneYoungkin today to discuss our shared love for the National Mall and its role in shaping our country's identity.

By putting partnership over partisanship, we can create a stronger and more unified country for all.

Not really an overstatement to say that the test of a free society is whether or not comedians can make fun of the country's leader on TV without repurcussions.

Extraordinarily corrupt. I watched FCC chair Brendan Carr's full interview on Hannity. Carr basically said straight out that coverage of Trump he deems overly hostile can be decreed contrary to the "public interest," and thus grounds for yanking licenses:

Basically “extremely online” is the best to describe this shooter right now until we get more information, which is not a good place for many young men.

Spencer Cox deserves major publicity for his handling of the Kirk shooting. He is behaving like a real leader should.
People were violently attacked in Boise over this. It looked like a lynching almost occurred at the Idaho State Capitol.

My theory is that the arrival of traffic measuring metrics supercharged distrust in media. Yeah, there's clickbait, but I think the real issue is that audiences actually get really tired of being given the thing they signal that they want. Even when its not a race to the bottom, it hurts trust

The President of the United States is threatening to go to war with an American city.

This is not a joke. This is not normal.

Donald Trump isn't a strongman, he's a scared man. Illinois won’t be intimidated by a wannabe dictator.

Trump Is Paving the Way for Another ‘China Shock’

We need more of this type of input to circulate for consumption, review and comment. I also believe the items discussed here, but the key is getting more people across ideological spectra to have this debate out in the open.

The $ spent on US elections is wack.
Appx 5.5 Billion (billion!!!) in 2024 races.
For comparison in Canada, last elxn each party had a $30mil limit. Only 4 reached around that.
Total overall was circa 172 Million (22 parties ran campaigns).
