It’s the “season of love and giving”…but this year, doesn’t it seem more like a “season of fear and taking”? Like many of you, I’ve been saddened by the human impact of draconian government budget cuts and how angry many housed Americans are at unhoused Americans.

It should be legal for random folks to strip them for parts.

Finders keepers...
How blackouts in San Francisco this weekend shut down Waymo.

“.. Traffic lights across the city were down, seemingly confusing the driverless cars — and halting them in their tracks.”

In the nineteenth & early 20th century, women being sexually assaulted in public was such a problem that women began using hatpins to defend themselves.

Governments were very concerned about the problem.

So they passed laws to /limit the length of hat pins/.

If you are planning a trip to the U.S., don't.
If you have already planned a trip, change your plans.

The risks far outweigh any possible benefits.
Also also, the list of disclosures closely mirrors the retention classes and durations of NSA's dragnets.

Basically they want you to confess to everything you've done online for a decade, & they already know it all, and whatever you conspicuously omit is potential blackmail / extortion material

"How to tank the airline stocks with this one simple trick"
NYT reports that the TSA is giving ICE a list of every person who's to be taking a domestic flight inside the US so ICE can run it through their database looking for targets.

I'm not a lawyer, but I feel like the 4th Amendment has something to say about this.

Sound words here 👍
“One way to fight mace-happy opponents is to come at them from upwind. Unless they have pepper gel not the liquid they will also be macing themselves.” - LukefromDC
Agents used pepper balls, OC canisters and pepper spray on the crowd as they tried to clear a path for a convoy of their vehicles, some of which carried detained migrants, to leave the area. The crowd quickly grew into several hundred people by the time federal agents left the area.

It's encouraging to see Europe making these medical advancements in spite of the U.S. attack on science and medicine.

While the CDC and HHS is marinating in vaccine conspiracy theories and medieval medical mythology,
Europe is forging ahead with cutting edge technology and saving lives.

This is not "justice."

Its child trafficking.
“There is virtually no mechanism for a child to find a pro-bono attorney on their own while detained, as they do not have the resources or ability to identify and call attorneys, and are actually limited as to who they can contact.”

There's no amount of suffering that could make me feel sorry for him. None.
It's almost impossible to make me feel sorry for Trump, but the sheer depth of his brokeness, combined with his age, the utter humiliation involved in this farce was making me legit sad.
