When Donald Trump attacks and kills innocent people in Venezuela, I hope the Pro-Pal people have the same smoke for him that they did for Harris and Biden who weren't actually responsible for the fight between Hamas and Israel. I expect college encampments, protesting Trump speeches, everything.

I need everybody to read this and understand what’s going on. These are spouses of US citizens in the country legally. They have entry clearance and green cards, they’ve passed background checks and have no criminal records. ICE is taking them anyway.

Rogue One is a horrible movie that ended better than it deserved. If you can forgive its grevious sins for a single sequence, then cool. I cannot.
rogue one is bad folks. i have believed this since i saw it in theaters and no subsequent rewatch has changed my mind. basically a chop job until the final sequence, which is good (for star wars)

That's the thing about criticism. It teaches you about yourself. What you value, how you feel about certain things, what in a piece of art matters to *you,* specifically.

And the more you do it, the better you understand yourself. It teaches you who you are and what you believe.

If you’re a journalist who’s still on Twitter, from now on in your writing you have to replace “the American people want” with “troll bots in Eastern Europe demand”

Being there makes your judgment suspect. I don’t care how savvy you think you are, you’re marinating in a disinformation campaign.

This deal to reopen the government is fucking disgraceful.

Tens of millions will lose their healthcare. Trump will be emboldened.

This is exactly what’s wrong with Democratic Party leadership and why we need more people in Congress who will actually hold the line.

No one should be surprised at this point. Get off X.
Vital piece of investigative reporting from Sky. They've uncovered the X algorithm which feeds users extremist right wing material from the moment they join the site. It is a far-right radicalisation engine, by design.

Has anyone actually written something on the apparently inability of the reactionary mind to grasp the basic themes and even overt text of Tolkien?

Like at some point Gandalf turns directly to camera and says “the Men of Gondor sure are insufficient to this task, we need the hobbits to do it”
this is an overtly fascist narrative - even the misreading of myth & literature is on brand

Been gaming on Linux for 2 1/2 years. It's been a far better experience and I have full control of what is running on my PC. Cutting edge hardware works and Intel, Nvidia, and AMD put out drivers for their CPUs & GPUs on Linux very quickly.

You'll be surprised how much you don't miss Windows.
Just use Linux at this point. Find a way to make it work. Those live service games don’t deserve your usage either. Nor does Adobe if you’re still paying them.

You wanna know why gamers use Steam? Valve is trusted. There’s no shareholders or bullshit quarterly growth goals. There’s no MBA-driven exploitation. They let you buy, download, and play games without forcing ads or scraping your personal data. It’s the inverse of every Silicon Valley company.
I legitimately didn't know they were competing with Steam and it's crazy to me that they burnt so much money on what sounds like something with very little (or wildly misguided) market research.
