Hey #booksky

No list of Understanding Christian Nationalism books is complete without this novel. Zero punches pulled on what it's like to be born inside the beast, and it's funny anyway. Kirkus accolades, 4.5-star ratings, raised $50K for the Trevor Project. All formats: www.jasonkirk.fyi/p/novel

On of the best books I’ve ever read. You should buy this
Thank you!

Also, folks out there, if any of you are looking into books as Christmas gifts for people who either do or don't have religious trauma, I've seen this one as low as $8 online
I haven’t been to church in two decades, but was raised So Baptist. This book brought back a flood of memories I’d long forgotten (in good and some uncomfortable ways). But nothing comes close to this as an honest representation of what it felt like as a teen. Well done @jasonkirk.fyi

performative reading, lack of reading skills, nobody's reading anymore -- NO!

tell me about a book that changed you

for me? the *extremely* ahistorical novel, THE AGONY AND THE ECSTASY which I read at 13 and was like, "Oh, art can be *everything* to a maker, for good and bad"

"Scared of Charlotte" is a whole new level of "scared of cities" that I'd never even considered possible
Rep. Pat Harrigan: "I have asked Josh Stein, our governor, to consider working with President Trump to allow the National Guard to come into Charlotte ... use the National Guard as a force multiplier and they can a lot of load off the Charlotte PD."
