Courage is contagious.
What has Yvette Cooper’s proscription of Palestine Action done to this country?

Beyond absurd. It’s extreme authoritarianism. These police should be arresting rapists & crooks, not neglecting those duties to spend time arresting citizens standing against genocide.

It undermines police and the law.

I’m just going to say as someone who lived in London for eleven years and is currently seriously considering going back precisely because of the far right theocratic fascism of Trump, that he’s talking out of his fucking asshole.
Trump to the UN: "I have to say, I look at London where you have a terrible mayor -- terrible terrible mayor -- and it's been so changed, so changed. Now they want to go to Sharia Law ... both their immigration and their suicidal energy ideas will be the death of Western Europe."

Northern Ireland man from Lisburn kidnapped by Trump’s Ice raids because he “looked like a Mexican”. He had the correct visa, all his documents. He’s never been in trouble with police.

Held in terrible conditions. A fellow captive couldn’t get his medication and dropped dead of a heart attack

Lee Stinton was lifted by US immigration police on an American street — in an incident he compared to a kidnapping.

Reform are now attacking families of children with SEND – claiming they’re abusing the system for free transport, as if an EHCP is just a taxi account, that you can call the council & set up over the phone.

It’s shameful. Families fight hard to get the support their children deserve.

@ofcom.bsky.social is not fit for purpose.

It has lost its way.
Ofcom refuses to investigate GB News over a call to shoot and starve disabled benefits claimants.

The watchdog says the channel has a right to "freedom of expression" even if it means calling on air for disabled people to be killed

If you tax the billionaires, you can pay the Doctors, you can pay PIP, you can pay Winter Fuel Allowance, you can get rid of the 2 Child Benefit Cap, and much more.

Or you could get rid of Brexit to do it.

But don't pretend you can't do either, when you should be doing both.

Trump went to ground and said nothing about about Ukraine's successful and stylishly audacious attack on Russia until his little lord and master told him what to say. Loser
Trump got no concessions from his boss, but he did make it clear to Vladimir Putin that the United States is OK with Russia brutally retaliating against Ukraine's attacks on its planes, probably by attacking Ukrainian civilians. What a worthless clown.

🔥 NEW: Israeli ministers say 22 new settlements have been approved in the occupied West Bank.

This is the biggest expansion in decades.

They are utterly shameless and going for broke with their conquest.

I support deep sanctions + military intervention if need be.

I asked the one high ranking policeman I saw on 5th Ave why there were so few police. He said “We did not expect anything like this. Don’t tell anyone but I’ve only got 44 officers out here — and it’s a great crowd, great event, no incidents.”
I have never seen anything like this in NYC. 5th Ave covered from 42nd St well to the 20s. Nobody prepared for this volume. Volunteers are holding the traffic on all the side streets. No police in sight. #handsoff
