Not just LA, but Detroit (hometown of GM) where the lack of public transit persists to this day.
fellas is it a conspiracy to remember events that happened
Because a lot of leftists/progressives have pseudo conspiratorial models of reality where they think the only reason Americans live in suburbs is bc GM tore up the streetcar lines in LA etc.

Those claiming Dems should retreat on racial justice aren't hard-headed realists, they're pushing against the electoral tide rather than leaning into it. The story of Gen Z isn't about racist backlash or red-pilled young men. It's the most racially progressive generation in American history. 🧵

People need to understand that Chicago is a preview, not a culmination.
I have been actively watching contracts and surge funding over the last few days and what I would say to my friends in Baltimore is “be absolutely ready, right now.”

Just wow. To think this treasure could’ve been lost forever. Glad Koko Taylor’s legacy is in safe hands.

'Queen of the Blues' Koko Taylor's prized possessions — including a Grammy — sold at Chicago flea market
A treasure trove of her items were put on sale for dirt cheap after a junk dealer's random purchase of the contents of Taylor's storage locker in Orland Park.

The ADL has decided to treat fascists as allies and progressives as enemies. For a group that is tasked with protecting American Jews, that is a world historic fuck up.

I will never forgive these people for their moral decrepitude.

🧵
Not a hard question, except for the culture that pretends it's not the answer

1) right-wing media lies incessantly, so anyone truth-based doesn't trust it, and anyone who trusts it doesn't trust anything else

2) other media treats those lies as legitimate, for "fairness," getting trust from no one
