people who use goodreads: jeff bezos owns goodreads and if you want a better alternative there is a black woman owned company called storygraph that you can use to replace it. you can transfer all of your data from goodreads to storygraph and have your mind be free of trumpie jeff bezos! win win. 💙

Shout out to @joshwcomeau.com's principles.

He closed his 135K Twitter account, despite it being a major marketing tool for his content and courses.

He spent his final days informing his followers about the election before closing it and moving here.

Protest isn't always convenient.

A Frankenstein bootstrap script for my Frankenstein dotfiles 😅

github.com/jrolfs/boots...

curl → Shell → Nix (flake) → TypeScript (Deno) to bootstrap a combination of homeshick and nix-darwin...

#Deno is pretty appealing!

Really enjoyed some key bits in this Tailscale vision blog:

"We’ve built a giant centralized computer system, with a few megaproviders in the middle, and a bunch of dumb terminals on our desks and in our pockets. ... Turn off AWS, and they’re all bricks."

can anyone else with Android reproduce this crash on 1.85.1? i am unfortunately not able to so far
Encountering an interesting crash on Android, present both before and after updating.

Attempting to click on a link to a bsky post causes the app to crash immediately. Android gives this prompt, but only sometimes. A link to any post causes this crash.
