I recently tried searching around for a modern gamepad with six face buttons, which could also retain the dual sticks and bumpers + triggers. I'm a little shocked at how few offerings there seem to be out there, but I did find a *few* options. I have some reading ahead of me. (descriptions in alt)

Hori OCTA Pro, a six-button controller for PlayStation 5, for $200 Australian Dollarydoos. In addition to everything that a PS5 controller features: The left stick has an octagonal gate, while the right stick is a flatter circle pad. Two additional R1 and R2 buttons are present to the top-right of the Triangle and Circle face buttons.

Not visible: Three different styles of D-Pad are included, and it has two additional grip buttons, but it appears to only have digital triggers.

Hori OCTA, a six-button controller for PC, for $75 AUD. This is a cheaper version of the Pro pad for PS5, but the style is otherwise identical to the previous pad. The left stick has an octagonal gate, while the right stick is a flatter circle pad. Two additional RB and RT buttons are present to the top-right of the Y and B face buttons.

Not visible: It appears to only have digital triggers.

FLYDIGI Vader 4. Similar in style to an Xbox Controller S, with additional C and Z buttons below the A and B buttons. Unlike the Hori OCTA, both sticks are full-sized.

Not pictured: It features toggles for the left and right triggers, allowing them to be either full-analog or digital triggers. And though hard to see in product photos, it also appears to have grip buttons.

Hyperkin DuchesS, a licensed recreation of the original Xbox Controller S, updated to include shoulder bumpers (which simply mirror the White and Black face buttons), a Share button in the center, and a 3.5mm headset jack.

Booting up my old N3DS XL to check it out after years of it sitting in the bottom of my drawer, and I'm immediately blasted by how thoroughly my heart had been hooked by the Badge Arcade bunny. I loved this little dude.

Relaunching my retro CG setup as TetraCG: an assortment of nifty nodegroups and render settings to provide an easier entryway into a style that I adore ^^

Cover page for TetraCG, a retro computer graphics package for Blender 5.0. It is made up of several negative greyscale 3D renders in the style of 90s CG, laid out like comic panels.

TetraPHONG

A simple, but versatile nodegroup combining diffuse and specular shading with full support for Cycles and EEVEE.

The Cycles version of TetraPhong supports anisotropic highlights for surfaces such as metal, hair or satin, and it also supports full, proper raytracing.

While the EEVEE version lacks these features, it does include an optional coat for screenspace raytracing. Its diffuse and specular components will also render perfectly fine in Cycles.

TetraGEN

A noisy volume nodegroup that aims to replicate PowerAnimator's flashy particles.

Particularly useful for fire, smoke or dust FX. Adjust scale, distortion, frequency and emission accordingly.

Renders in EEVEE and Cycles.

TetraSKY

A world background nodegroup with the express purpose of filling up the void.

Use with an environment texture, or generate a sky with various gradient, cloud and star settings at your disposal.

Disable diffuse and glossy rays in world properties to prevent unintentional ambient lighting (Cycles only).

He's said that he is particularly hostile towards Brotherhood of Steel members (who he likens to Nazis) and always sneak kills whole units (at one point, he amassed so many Brotherhood of Steel Power Armors that he used them to build a moat). Back when he played on console, Oshii apparently gathered so much loot at his base that his PS4 struggled to run the game.
