Liberal Democrat MPs have today tabled a motion in Parliament to remove Robbie Gibb from the BBC Board.

Robbie Gibb was appointed by Boris Johnson, he was an editorial adviser to GB News and a director of communications for Theresa May. He is not neutral or impartial.

twitter being bought and turned into a propaganda machine for fascism, which is directly pumped into every journalist in the world's brain, is one of the worst things to happen in the last few years. we might not survive it.
I'm guessing the BBC 'scandal' has been big on X this week as this was the first I had heard of it...

How exactly?

By hypnotising him?

If the sandwich don't split, you must acquit.
The defense team presses Lairmore on whether the sandwich really 'exploded.' They return to the photo of the sandwich and wrapper on the ground.

"That sandwich hasn't exploded at all, has it?" defense asks.

"It looks like a little bit is coming out towards the bottom," Lairmore replies.

For those of us outside of the USA, one consequence of the great win by Mamdani could be a Trump pivot to be much more domestically focused between now and the mid terms. I dont know if this is good or bad.

I recall in the 60s, Remembrance Day was one solemn Sunday morning. That was it.
It was a moving occasion at our local memorial and attended by actual WW1 and WW2 veterans. Unlike the mawkish weeks long competition for the most tasteless display of a poppy that it's become

Apologies, im clearly on one today. Now with nuance. He is not and never has been a progressive and that he is lauded by so many progressives is sooo depressing.

His bias is so frustrating as he has such disproportionate influence.

And yet... LDs need him to flip to them. Maybe one day.

It's genuinely crackers that in the UK, a social media company can *take advertising money from a fraudster*, the bank has to repay the victim out of its pocket, and the social media company doesn't even have to give the advertising cash to the bank! They make money on the transaction!
EXCLUSIVE: The British government is preparing to roll back on its pledge to make Big Tech companies pay for scams in its upcoming fraud strategy.

Seems a bit bizarre but Ashwin just went unsold at the #ILT20

He seems such an obvious buy that you wonder if he's going to be made an example of by BCCI/IPL

But on the plus side I got to watch Tim Robinson's 106*.
Really excellent innings
