I was looking forward to seeing how Train Dreams would be adapted into a film. Unfortunately, it’s like Forrest Gump if he was played by Kevin Webster—soundtracked with the same slurred string arrangements and ambient-reverb piano nonsense that every other modern frontier snoozefest seems to have.
