While Keighley partied at the game awards with big names, their up and coming "future class" of game devs had to leave and have a meetup at a local starbucks instead.

honestly surprised i dont hate it after two years. theres hints of why i stopped developing it, and you can see i never added ctual combat beyond the counter, but it has something going for it still.

Glide mechanic draft
It's still pretty rough, but I already like the feel of it.
I'm still not sure about the name of the plant used for gliding. I opted for “Helioplant” (same root as helium, but it's kind of too simple).

Lumines Arise is exposing just how color blind I am at times, lmao. But I love it.
And compared to my avg attack of 90 from the beta, I've gotten a lot stronger, though I still lose a ton of burst battle matches b/c people are ridiculously good at this game >.>

The new Lumines has absolutely killer art direction precisely because it has zero fear of being perceived as corny. It will just throw every idea it has at you and maybe not all will land but at some point you WILL cry about how all humans are connected while matching broccoli and tomatoes onscreen
