Oh you're trying to say the cost of living is skyrocketing?

Donald Trump can't hear you over the sound of bulldozers demolishing a wing of the White House to build a new grand ballroom.

Jake's made a great synopsis of DHH. I first met DHH almost 25 years ago, spoke at his office, helped promote his products, hosted him at events. DHH thinks you can tell by *looking* whether someone is a "native". Because he thinks people who look like me can never belong to our countries. Fuck him.

In any other country, if federal agents fired upon journalists when unprovoked — what would we call it?

If federal agents marched down streets demanding papers — what would we say?

Authoritarianism — let’s not pretend it’s something else when it happens in our American cities.

Years ago, lawyer for Chicago Tribune gave me a formulation I never forgot: Never write, in an email or anywhere else, something you wouldn't want to see enlarged & put on a poster in a courtroom. Do I always abide by that? Prob not. But I think about it A LOT & it has helped me avoid some landmines
"Only post comments that you'd feel comfortable reading aloud in a courtroom" is a recent meme I read and a good policy in general.
