When you switch from fossil to clean you only use like 30-40% of the energy to do the same stuff, bc most energy from fossil fuels is lost as waste heat

What's I'm trying to say is that all climate action is degrowth

WELCOME TO DEGROWTH EVERYONE
From my file on the IEA's world energy outlook.

"Primary energy" = what goes in

"Final energy" = what comes out
a
The space in between: mostly lost energy bc burning fossil fuels is absurdly wasteful.

So in the net zero scenario, that gaps closes to zero --->>

this has been a recurrent threat for years now thanks to climate change and a totally inept and corrupt water management system but all the bills are coming due this year.

Techno optimism can help with climate mitigation only if it's applied. It will take collaboration at scale and the demand for its implementation will need to outweigh the demand for our greed, our lust for power, and our need for ideological purity. It will need buy in from every industrialist
Climate change is getting worse a lot faster than most realize.

Climate tech is getting better a lot faster than most appreciate.¹

The reasoning is that poorer countries will take the biggest hit and it works out great for rich countries because they need to spend less money destabilizing them to farm their resources. The poor being poorer is what makes the rich richer.

I’ve written an entire book showing how centrist economists & techno-optimists provide a permission structure for climate propaganda, creating an overlapping false consensus that we can keep using fossil-fuels and still deal w climate change anyway.

Here’s a good example of that dynamic 👇

Why would anyone continue to vote for Democrats. This is all about getting donors, and with the dollar dying it no longer means anything.
(6) This idea that democrats should abandon trans people and immigrants and climate change (in 2025!) is just unconscionably dumb.

Declaring “I’m focused on prescription drug prices” sounds like pandering because it IS pandering. Everyone can tell.

Try standing for something. See how it feels.

Wouldn't you know it. Economic productivity is much more important to abundance libs than actually reaching any climate goals, the illusion of progress is their main goal. Especially when moving forward the green agenda would mean submitting to China permanent dominance on the global stage.
I love how, to centrists / the Abundance faction, “the left” has blocked clean-energy development in America, but also Democrats should not talk about climate change because doing so associates them with “the left.”

Make it make sense.

This is a serious issue but we can solve it by creating food systems that depend on things like kelp and seaweed which can also help us with carbon capture and cooling oceans if we can do it at scale.
Climate change is disrupting animal migrations by altering environmental cues and reducing prey availability. This disruption not only threatens the survival of individual animals but also has cascading impacts on entire ecosystems and human communities.

The most common issue I see on the left today is the inability to come together on solutions for problems only crowding around leaders that make us feel good without delivering anything of value in the long term.
October 27, 2025 at 3:12 PM
More than ever we need a true grassroots party focused on immediate climate action making local sustainability and more with less their platform. Hydroponics, aquaculture, public transportation as necessary infrastructure.

I'm ready for a solutionary party focused on solving problems first
