Taylor Lorenz is an extremist who is endorsing violence. If you're overlooking it because you agree with her on other issues, congrats, you're doing MAGA logic but from the left.
Dehumanizing and normalizing the killing of anyone is wrong. @taylorlorenz.bsky.social, as well as some of my academic colleagues here on BlueSky, they know *exactly* what they are doing when they say such things.

I've been trying to figure out how much the launch of a russian ICBM costs, and all I can get is somewhere between 80 million and 220 million, which isn't very helpful, but hopefully illustrates somewhat how stupid and wasteful Putin's little stunt was.

I've seen the argument that if DOJ didn't charge file charges against Gaetz, the allegations against him must be weak, but this doesn't necessarily follow. DOJ's authority to prosecute sex crimes is limited. As general matter, statutory rape, etc. are not a federal offenses.

Mandate? Trump is now under 50% in the popular vote with his margin ranking 44th out of 51 elections since 1824.

4 Democrats won Senate seats in states Trump carried—compared to zero in 16 and 20.

GOP poised for its smallest House majority since the U.S. had 50 states.

Elon Musk endorses plan for Trump to politicize the Fed.
As I keep saying: this should be a five-alarm fire for anyone who says they care about inflation. Putting the money supply in hands of politicians has not ended well in Venezuela, Argentina, Turkey, etc

The right will spend the next four years versing about the squad and how antisemitic they are. They will do that to distract you from the antisemitism on their side. But remember the squad had very little power under Biden and have ZERO now. Don’t let them distract you.

This is one of several videos and pictures I have see of IDF soldiers desecrating the Quran. This is so vile and in the U.S. armed forces soldiers were punished for this. Are we waging a war against Hamas or all of Islam? If we want the answer to be the former, punish him now.

This place has now become big enough to do what Muskland used to do — give me a sense of what smart people are thinking and, importantly, what they don't know. For example, it turns out that many aren't aware that it's well established that most people don't connect wage growth with inflation 1/

Reading post-election analyses, I'm in an intensely anti-populist mood.

I'm tired of analysts trying to suss out the hidden wisdom or deep of voters.

I want more people to say that the American people just made a stupid decision that will have disastrous consequences.
