Gonna be honest besides Pokemon I only played two RPGs this year, Expedition 33 and Quest 64. And I remember a lot more about Quest than I do E33.

Probably because the only turn based RPGs that break through to mainstream are thoughtless slop with no original gameplay idea like E33 or games that create groomers like Persona.
