For 56 minutes Sky News and BBC News interrupted everything else and carried a Reform UK feed live, uninterrupted, unchallenged. The stream spluttered, froze, pixelated - dozens of times - still they stuck with it. FOR ONE HOUR.

This is an editorial choice. No other party gets this coverage. ~AA

I see naive reporting that Pu has offered to negotiate w Zelensky. He hasn't. Pu made his usual "yes, but" manipulation. He says he'll talk to Ze but still insists Ze can't sign agreements. A double manipulation because Ze has 💯constitutional legitimacy and Pu could care less about legality.

This makes me think of the joke about the Jewish couple meeting the Rabbi before the wedding.

"Can we dance together?"
"Absolutely not. The bible forbids it."
"Can we have sex on the night?"
"Yes, it's a mitzvah!"
"Any position?"
"Any except standing. That might lead to dancing."
reading this otherwise v interesting piece on intimacy coordinators and I'm sorry but this does just feel like another example of "whoops we're so woke we've reinvented old timey racism by mistake" www.newyorker.com/magazine/202...

@alexvont.bsky.social - Hi, Enjoyed the Bunker pod, but just wondering why, in reference to the boat stopped by the Israelis, you said that the IDF hadn't shot anyone *yet*? AFAIK, the crew are unarmed and have simply beein intercepted and are being flown home. Why the talk of shooting?

8 killed. 70 injured (including 6 children). Rescue teams racing to find 2 more under Kyiv’s rubble.

And Trump is obsessed with critiquing Zelensky’s rhetoric.
Great leaders focus on saving lives, not scorecards—and upholding our shared values.

I just landed in San Salvador a little while ago, and I look forward to meeting with the team at the U.S. embassy to discuss the release of Mr. Abrego Garcia.

I also hope to meet with Salvadoran officials and with Kilmar himself. He was illegally abducted and needs to come home.

Good news that may have got lost this week...

A judge ordered the White House to restore The Associated Press’ full access to cover presidential events. It's a win for the freedom of the press. 👏

But it's shameful these are wins we're having to celebrate in the first place. 🤦

The basic risk is this: Iran has sophisticated SIGINT capabilities. If any single member of the 20-person group chat had allowed their handset to be compromised by spyware then it’s a direct line from Iran->Houthis. This isn’t some kind of remote possibility. It’s a real, live risk that was ignored.
Hegseth was showboating when he shared the timeline:
"Once the strikes had been agreed, there was no reason for the Secretary of Defense to share operational details with the group. None of them were responsible for carrying out the mission."

Even if you accept the argument that Signal is secure, Hegseth had no business sharing operational plans with that group

I’m as dumbfounded as anyone by #signalgate, but it’s not just Hegseth at fault. NSA Waltz established group and invited Goldberg. No one checked the invitees or objected to discussing secure material. Even if Trump fires all of them, he’ll just appoint awful replacements. The rot starts with him.
