Years ago my folks asked me how I stayed informed without watching cable news or listening to talk radio. I told them I didn't want to be plugged into the nonstop anger machine.
They're still both always mad about politics and confused that one can be informed and not mad.

There’s a lot of people who claim to be really into politics but who are actually really into being righteously angry, and they’re pretty shitty sources of information. Anger is addictive and makes you stupid, try to limit it.
