A friend used Microsoft Co-pilot and asked for 'a map of Europe with France, Spain, Italy, Germany and the UK highlighted'. This is the result of the fifth attempt. I think it speaks for itself really. I hear Germace is nice this time of year.

Can't help but laugh at the mythical Leeds Supertram being delayed (read cancelled). Again. Lost count of how many times this has happened now.

Gift link, probably the funniest thing the Wall Street Journal has done this year.
We Let AI Run Our Office Vending Machine. It Lost Hundreds of Dollars.
An AI agent ran a snack operation in the WSJ newsroom. It gave away a free PlayStation, ordered a live fish—and taught us lessons about the future of AI.

Imagine my shock and surprise to see yet another phantom bus that's not turned up. Excellent stuff. Not like I was wanting to get home after work.

It's Christmas time so that means it's time for this years annual undercover report at a delivery company. Evri saying they deliver 900 million parcels with only 0.8 percent mislabeled, so that's over 7 million parcels......

The fact is no presenter has ever had to leave the BBC for expressing conservative views, or even explicitly endorsing a right-wing party.

Great thread on not just the immorality and hatefulness of institutions/artists bending the knee to fascism, but the mindboggling short-sightedness of it. We should stand up to fascism, but we should also remember who, when subservience was suddenly demanded, immediately said "yeah alright".
It may not feel like it now as marginalised people and their allies are edged out of institutions in the arts - but those institutions are unreliable, antiquated and at this point, bending the knee to fascism. It’s absolutely the best thing artistically and financially to be free of that.
