This is correct.
DHS lies over the past year are explicit calls to violence.
Telegraphing that they'll protect any violence, no matter what.
That there is no limit.
This is true, of course. But I'll just state again that these lies from DHS are a different animal.

They aren't actually trying to cover anything up. They know that we know they're lying. They're advertising that they can use lethal force with impunity, and that we're powerless to stop them.
Reminders: Law enforcement lies out of the gate as a rule about shootings in general. I don't say this to diminish anyone's reactions to what ICE is doing. Those reactions are appropriate, and we should be raging against this violence. We should also have a baseline understanding of state violence.

Was talking to a random nice older woman from East Isles last night and ICE came up. She then detailed, totally free of irony, her plan for reforming US government, which included the simultaneous mass execution of every leading member of the Trump administration, many of whom were mentioned by name

(That is not what he meant)

I mean, the ratio on this covers it.
4x as many QTs as likes.

We want - we need - a lot more than this.
Democrats want commonsense reform for ICE:

End the roving patrols and racial profiling.

Take accountability and abide by the same rules as local police.

Masks need to come off, body cameras need to stay on—no secret police in the United States of America.

Representative Moulton has a new video out taking credit for saying "abolish ICE" before Senator Markey did.

The Representative thinks this shows leadership.

A leader doesn't have to wait until something polls well to say it publicly.

Corruption, plain and simple.

Steve Witkoff, David Sacks, and Howard Lutnick must testify in front of Congress.

And Congress needs to grow a spine and put a stop to Trump’s crypto corruption.

I am not gleefully predicting this, just speaking from some experience, and trying to steel folks for the right timespan on fighting this: within 2-4 years, there will be Very Serious People demanding you give up asking for accountability on this stuff, and in fact *you* are the problem for doing so
This is just insane. It’s only a matter of time before DHS kills another innocent person here.

I don't understand why all police don't have that privilege then. Aren't they at risk as well? In fact, all public officials including Congress should run for office anonymously and the judges should be behind a screen.

Can't be exaggerated: every bully believes themselves a victim. Even Hitler! Even US slave owners!

It's part of the psychology. There is no amount of power or privilege that can ameliorate it.
so I'm about halfway through my re-read of "the rise and fall of the third reich," world war 2 is about to kick off, and one notable thing is how many times hitler would start off speeches and meetings talking about how badly he/germany had been treated, usually by countries he planned on crushing

Good to see that many Dem elected officials now want to be seen getting involved in the cases of immigrants who have been wrongly detained by ICE.

Let's spare a word for @vanhollen.senate.gov, who did this for Kilmar Abrego Garcia back when wise pundits said this was politically dangerous.
