They need to add a horror/thriller category and stop playing. The same thing happened with GET OUT. No one wants to submit genre against dramas, I think.

If that’s the case I really hope we see this Doctor take on the Daleks. They we missing this season.
The Joy To The World trailer despite being written by Moffat I think is the best indication of what this era is trying to be at its core. If RTD1 was soap inspired & Moffat was the dark fairytale I think RTD2 is the popcorn blockbuster era, big spectacle, meta humour, fast pace.

Most people think filmmaking is glamorous, but sometimes it’s finding yourself in a Walmart in deepest, darkest Canada at 9:30 on a Sunday, stocking your hotel room with embarrassing junk food so when you stagger in at 3am from a long shoot you don’t have to rely on vending machines for nourishment.
