Honestly though. As warped as my sense of humor got to be from spending a lot of formative years on NG, they truly prove to be super fucking based, even when they're forced to comply with a law, and I appreciate that about them. But also, let's just remember that these laws are still outrageous.

What I love most about this thread is it made me think: wow transphobia living in the modern world of convenience holding fast to a scientific discovery made 110 years ago when we went from landlines to predominantly smartphones in like... 20-30 years? Pitiful regression, really.

Shit like this is also why I despise electrical companies, because during summer, they are all too glad to drastically up their rates, in an attempt to discourage use of a "luxury". And it hurts people such as myself who rely on window units the most, as they're not exactly efficient.
The reason I get really mad about people who dismiss AC as a frivolous luxury is the *same* reason I get really mad about people who claim that USAID was useless or evil:

...ah. well, life was a hell of a cycle for a while. If I'm being honest, I'm kinda glad that I'm perfectly okay being forgotten or abandoned by someone if I'm not constantly on. Kinda became a necessity, working early morning hours, meant I didn't see people as often. Makes the friends better, tbh
