If only drivers had the same patience waiting 3 seconds for people to cross the street that they do for a chicken sandwich.

My @thestar.com column: Critics said multiplexes were madness. It turns out they provide cheaper and larger places to live. (No major parking problems, either!)

With the kind of data they've got, Toronto council should have no doubt: sixplexes are the sensible move.

Matt Elliott: Multiplexes in Toronto neighbourhoods were madness, said critics. Now the city should give in to the joy of six
The city’s planning committee is being asked this week to approve allowing sixplexes into Toronto neighbourhoods, removing a four-unit cap.

Danielle Smith claims flying to Florida to pose with Ben Shapiro is “going into the lion’s den”.

The truth is, it’s a trip to a Republican safe space, a far-right fundraiser & more about pumping the Premier’s ego than promoting Alberta.

Albertans shouldn’t be on the hook to pay for it. #ableg

Carney on this, just now:

"I find it beyond baffling, I find it downright irresponsible, that the leader of the opposition...refuses to obtain his security clearance."

"At this point in our history, when we face the greatest threats that we've faced in generations...he has to answer for that."
CSIS alleges India organized support for Poilievre’s 2022 Conservative leadership bid

"CSIS did not share this information with Mr. Poilievre...because he does not have the necessary security clearance to access secret documents and receive classified briefings on foreign-interference activities."

Agency’s assessment does not point to a highly organized effort or indicate the Conservative leader’s circle knew of the actions, source says

Great to see this show of unity and leadership from our former Prime Ministers.

Canada is so much bigger than our politics.

Trump just launched a trade war against Canada over fentanyl. The US seized - wait for it - 43 pounds at the US-Canada border last year.

43 pounds.

Trump’s “50 million for condoms in Gaza,” translated through an insanity filter, is actually a $60 million USAID package to provide contraception access in underdeveloped countries worldwide. $50 million to Gaza was allocated for medicine. If Trump is speaking he’s lying.

So Trump is (in no particular order):
1. Pissing off every single nation he can, threatening to annex several, invade others if they resist
2. Recalling American military from bases overseas
3. Now calling for an iron dome to be constructed over the American heartland

Yeah this doesn't end well.
Trump says he's signing an executive order to have the Defense Department start constructing an Iron Dome defense system for the US

This is from the onion but this is exactly what will happen. Currently the muskbots are trying to downplay this because they know public sentiment towards Nazis is rightfully negative.

They've pathetically attempted to deflect what actually happened in saying it wasn't that.

The stock market has tumbled today. Why? Because the jobs report was strong, with over 250,000 jobs added. (So investors are worried that interest rates will remain high.)

It illustrates that the interests of investors and working people are often very different.

This is everything you need to know about Poilievre.
He is their guy on the inside.
I will never ever vote on anything brought forward by this man.
He is fundamentally unfit for public office.

Not really sure what the point of this Marc Miller interview was. Feds are receiving 100% of the blame for the immigration situation meanwhile provinces allowed Unis/Colleges to be run like mills post covid and get to wash their hands clean of any responsibility. Liberals need a new strategist.
'We didn't turn the taps down fast enough': Immigration minister wants to save Canada's consensus on newcomers
This year marked the first time the federal Liberal government has drastically cut the number of immigrants entering Canada.

CNN is truly fucking garbage
CNN is hopelessly broken.

1. This "expansion" would require military invasions of several allies in violation of international law.
2. It would violate several treaties.
3. The Louisiana Purchase was the sale of land by a colonial power (France). These are sovereign nations.
