When a player is at the beginning of their season in Europe, nothing is set yet. Minutes aren’t locked and a player is naturally going to feel like they have a real shot if they just stay and fight for minutes. Even if MLS teams are promising to start them that doesn’t mean they believe it.

Sounders have confirmed that all 17 MLS home games will be played at Lumen, including some with grass. I’ve confirmed it’s very likely that some Concacaf Champions Cup home games will have to be played somewhere else. Last year, they were prepared to play quarterfinals in Spokane, for instance.

Wow. While we wait for the few remaining ballots to be counted, we feel like we have won this race. The recent drop put us nearly 1,400 votes ahead, just under the .5 percent threshold for a mandatory recount.
