At the moment, my description, is gutted. Gutted that my fellow Americans voted for a traitor and their entire party. The “FO” part of the program is about to begin. I hope they all get what they voted for.

Still reeling from the Stanford report on Brexit. Reduced GDP by up to 8% and investment by as much as 18%. The UK Treasury would have £40 billion more each year if Britain had remained in the EU. Devastating self-immolation.

Three things about the Witkoff tapes:

1) It appears Western intelligence services have decided to let Witkoff (and Trump) know they have recordings of their traitorous conversations w/Russia.

2) This Ukraine "deal" was all Witkoff's idea.

3) Congressional leaders should demand he be fired.

Another baby has just died of whooping cough in Kentucky, thanks to RFK Jr. and his merry band of anti-vaxxers.

My feeling toward RFK Jr. and the Republican Senators who confirmed him is utter contempt.

So you can be a person with a valid work permit, working as a nurse in the US & apparently ICE has the authority to remove you in shackles to a country you are not from, where you are dragged back to the country you fled after being tortured.
Awful.

Zohran always posted on this site and I would argue that Bluesky was one of the key bases of his support. The news media completely missed this story because they were too busy bending the knee to Trump and Musk.
Tonight's even more proof the mainstream reporters who are still on Twitter are suffering from a brain problem akin Havana Syndrome that is preventing them from accurately doing their jobs. They are being cooked alive by a snuff-focused apartheid algorithm.

mamdani is human. he'll fuck up and fail, especially with a hostile press and the giant mess that is nyc's politics. but today is a great day for the brave women who told what cuomo did, and for those of us who care that it should matter. that power shouldn't go to those who hurt the poweless.
I'm happy that Mamdani won. But I won't let that get in the way of my celebrating Cuomo losing.

Vermont ACA marketplace example. Premium increasing more than 400%
Bronze plan, 2 people with a $10k deductible per person.

Premium now: $450/month. Premium 2026: $1900/month.

So we’d pay $23k for the annual covered basics, then another $20k before coverage kicks in. This is the second least expensive option available. Just completely untenable. Not happening.

The "let them eat cake" attitude of Trump is really on display. Three theories: 1) he has no idea what his policies are doing to millions of Americans; 2) as goes with authoritarians, nobody inside will tell him this is a bad look; 3) he has stopped caring because he rules as an authoritarian.

People more educated than I am can probably add lots of examples, but to my mind, the main way we're still living Reaganism is that almost no elected politician or candidate talks about restoring the pre-Reagan top marginal income tax rates. It's disgusting that these are not being questioned.
