Wonder how folks involved in the boat strikes feel about a successor administration declaring presidential pardons invalid.
BREAKING: President Trump declared that all of former President Biden’s pardons are now “invalid.” There is no legal mechanism for presidents to revoke their predecessors’ pardons but if Trump is taken seriously, thousands could be thrown into legal chaos.

100% the lawyers said "you can't do that," and 100% the deciders (including) POTUS said "who cares, there are no consequences."

And that is 100% the fault of SCOTUS and its wretched unitarism, fully immunized.

As many expected, the truth is finally coming out, they were just fishermen. The family of the Colombian man killed in the Sept. 15 U.S. military strike in the Caribbean Sea has now filed a formal complaint with the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, alleging

Pete Hegseth committed a war crime and then doubled down.

He instructed the military to murder civilians at sea and when there were injured victims he gave the order to kill them all.

Surviving victims were brutally dismembered at sea by US missiles.

All the Afghans who risked their lives and security to help US troops? Yeah, F YOU, says the Trump Admin.
So now they’re going to be doing individualized re-review of tens of thousands of Afghan evacuees’ cases on TOP of the re-review of 200,000+ refugees who entered under Biden?

idk has AI stopped being largely used for revenge porn, justifying layoffs, content theft, and suicide inducement? if no, probably anyone who isn’t a sociopath should be against it.
Is this platform still massively against AI or has it moved more towards acceptance?

Epstein's only on-paper client as a financial manager was Les Wexner, founder and CEO of Victoria's Secret
Reading about Jeffrey Epstein—am I wrong that he seems to have made his fortune by befriending other sex offenders and them trusting him with money for no apparent reason except maybe that he was a sex trafficker?

The SVU episode about Epstein and Ghislaine, made because the story was well-known enough that people would watch it and immediately know it was “ripped from the headlines”, aired on February 2, 2011
"Convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein" is a phrase that first appeared in newspapers in March 2011 and appeared regularly from that point onward. it is INCONCEIVABLE to me that this many people were still associating with him!!

Our editorial stance is kidnappings are bad. This is not Real Journalism because it's important to be neutral about atrocities
Got turned down on a piece about ICE in Chicago for an international news org because they believed I couldn’t be objective about my neighbors getting kidnapped. And well, guilty as charged I guess.

Yes there's a lot of denial, but I've seen it: when it snaps, it snaps hard.

"Powerful men covered up child sex abuse" isn't outlandish when you've seen that happen in church, boy scouts, school athletics, and every other social pillar of your conservative middle-class life in the past few decades.

I actually think this story and the NEOM/The Line thing are directly connected: Very powerful man are now so obsessed with science fantasy that they see anything real as not worth considering.
This passage puts Musk's arrogance and moral blinders on full display. At DOGE, Musk destroyed USAID and weakened other part of the compensatory state that have been shown to effectively address poverty. Yet here he babbling about robots and "wild sci-fi scenarios" as the "only way" to do so.
