The deference shown to industry concerns conservation groups and Game and Fish retirees, who called the agency's shrinkage of a protected corridor antithetical to science-based wildlife management.

Conservation advocates said that there is no national security justification for building a wall through the national wildlife refuge.

They warn that the wall will threaten wildlife and cut off communities from the Rio Grande.

Congress aims to strip Endangered Species Act protections from this iconic grassland bird. With 90% habitat lost & less than 1% of their historic population left, they can’t take another hit.

Forests can’t regrow if seeds can’t move.

New research shows 60% of tropical regrowth zones have lost the animals that once carried seeds there.

When San Francisco installed 30 new rain gardens along a 12-block strip in the city’s Outer Sunset neighborhood, the corridor reduced the amount of stormwater entering the sewer by 95 percent for the area.
Heavier storms are here. Rain gardens can help.
