What a lot of people don't realize is that a LOT of Nazi leadership were never even charged or punished. The incompleteness of Nuremberg (and also early abandonment of Reconstruction in the US) allowed for many of the problems we see today fester and reemerge within a generation in the EU and US.
That may be the case, but “only following orders” has been the GOP line from Watergate through Iran-Contra, the Bush torture regime, & 1/6. Americans must be willing to prosecute white conservative lawlessness if this madness is to end. Punishing fascists in another country won’t cut it.
Nuremberg showed that 'I was only obeying orders' is not a valid defence.
Trump will be gone in a few years, and a lot of his willing acolytes will realise that they'll have to pay for the crimes he directed.

something i've been looking out for and noticing since posting this is how often pre-transition trans femmes either had relationships or feelings of deep romantic attraction to significantly older women when they were young and i do wonder if that's a real pattern and what it reflects
just remembered my freshmen year in college how i struck out with a girl and ended up chatting with her married mother on AIM on a near daily basis and it eventually got inappropriately intimate wtf was that all about lol
