Forests give us all clean air and water and provide countless defenses against climate change. We can’t let the government feed them to the chainsaws of wealthy corporations.

For over 50 years, The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has given us the weather service, managed our abundant fisheries, and provided critical climate research. Now, President Trump is slashing the agency and these services are at risk.

One of Trump's executive orders seeks to undermine the Endangered Species Act. This move empowers a committee of his own appointees to decide the fate of an endangered species, prioritizing the desires of special interests over wildlife and biodiversity.
An 'Extinction Committee' Is Just the Beginning of Trump's Attacks on Endangered Species
President Trump is already trying to undermine the ESA by invoking a rarely used provision that empowers a committee to decide the fate of endangered species.

You can say, “gravity isn’t real,” but if you step off the cliff, you’re still going down.

And if you convince other people it’s not real, you are responsible for what happens if they make decisions based on the information you withheld.

There is beauty in the natural flow and pauses in nature. I need to think about that more often.

Mount Denali was named for the Koyukon people who are native to Alaska and have referred to the mountain with this name for centuries.

Indigenous land should be protected, not further whitewashed.

The tallest peak in North America has been named Denali since 2015 when its name was officially changed under former President Barack Obama.

Stay strong. For us, this is more than just a job-it’s a calling. Together, we will stand to protect our parks, environment, and wildlife. Four years… we remain hopeful that the attack on our public lands will be less brutal this time.

I loved this little scene on a tree stump in the woods. Fungi and resurrection fern growing together. I used a flash and aperture mode with a small aperture to darken the background when I made this image. I need to try this again. #photography #fungi #fungifriends #EastCoastKin

I spent yesterday at the Colorado Parks & Wildlife Commissioner Meeting. Their main agenda was to decide whether to pass a petition that requested the wolf reintroduction to stop, or deny it. I spoke up in favor of denying it.
They did vote to deny it. Wolf reintroduction is continuing!
