A closeted trans woman gains internet micro-fame impersonating Terry Francona. She goes on to cover Super Bowls/World Series/NBA Finals/Olympics/NCAA Tournaments for a global media outlet, quits to transition in her 40s while trying to break into comedy. Her secret identity is a weirdo retail lifer.
There will be no upset today.

I mention this a lot, I'm 44 now and I have a strict "Nevermind" dating rule. They had to have been born the same year that "Nevermind" came out and, honestly, have like actual concrete memories of 9/11.
When I was forty-four I matched with a thirty-one-year-old on Tinder and I thought "Is this OK? Isn't that a bit too much of an age gap? Am I being creepy?"

I cannot *imagine* any situation where I'd go for someone literally half my age, much less post about it publicly if I had.

that was the moment that you realized that pushing 40 and dating a teenager was weird? because of a song? the song was the thing that did it?
November 13, 2025 at 9:13 PM
Yeah I could see how that would... wait, WAIT hold on, go back.
When I was 37 I was dating a woman who was 19. The thing that inspired me to break things off was hearing Pearl Jam's "Alive" on the radio - a song released 9 years before her birth she had never heard . In that moment I realized things would never work.

I'm not even a huge Lil' Wayne fan, his peak came during the years I mostly wasn't a huge hip-hop fan, but he was like *the* figure of the era.
November 13, 2025 at 10:06 PM
He was really good and *perhaps* at his peak a better singles artist than Lil' Wayne. But, I mean, have you *tried* to sit through "King" in its entirety without skipping to the hits? Whew.
Damn. That sucks. Wasn’t a diehard fan but you just hate to see it.

First of all, your dad is a rapist.

Secondly, "Trap Muzik" and *maybe* "Paper Trail" are up there with Lil' Wayne's best efforts but that's about it.

I was then ma'am'd by a customer like 15 minutes after writing this post. Not bad considering I'm in my first month of HRT.
Supervisor noticed my shaved face and said I looked younger.

I was like "uh yeah that's not all natural."

magine what a huge betrayal of the audience it would have been if BB ended with Hank arresting Walt? In Vince's world, as in the real world, the Law isn't there to deliver justice. It's just there, a tool to be used by the good and bad alike not a magic fix-all.

Journalism is the same thing.
It's really all about journalists who know it's just a job and the ones who believe it's an Identity. They believe in Journalism in the way Chuck McGill believed in The Law. If you're not One Of Them, and you're critical of it, you simply "don't understand how it works."
Getting out of journalism is like leaving a cult and not one of those cool ones where you get to have psychedelic orgies.

Thinking today how homelessness runs through this story, through Epstein's (Virginia Guiffre had been homeless before meeting him), and even through Gaiman's (his nanny was sleeping on the beach when Palmer recruited her, and he used threats of homelessness against another victim).
The woman whom the House Ethics Committee determined Matt Gaetz paid for sex when she was 17 years old was living in a homeless shelter, working at McDonald's, and needed the money for braces www.nytimes.com/2025/11/13/u...

If Clara Jeffrey ever co-signed a post of mine, I would delete and retract lol. Like you know you fucked up when...
Yes. Maybe something more will come out. But thus far what we know is that they found a reporter was acting inappropriately and pushed him out.
As a former member of NYT’s finance team & the co-author of this story exposing the relationship between Epstein & Bill Gates as well as one on Epstein & JPMorgan, I am really frustrated to see people claiming that NYT sat on publishable info about Trump and Epstein 🧵 www.nytimes.com/2019/10/12/b...

"No results for Harold Bloom + Epstein" I guess he was not a big literature guy.
November 13, 2025 at 5:27 PM
Yeah kinda figured this asshole would show up in the emails.
In 2023, Chomsky told WSJ about his relationship with Epstein: “First response is that it is none of your business. Or anyone’s. Second is that I knew him and we met occasionally.”

Epstein: you are of course welcome to use apt in new york with your new leisure time, or visit new Mexico again

Is that... is that the color scheme for the actual movie? For The Odyssey? The most vibrant epic poem in Western history?
I still can’t believe we’re getting Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey. Like how much more enjoyable can a pitch get?

I was well aware of the pockets thing due to my dress wearing days, but zippers!
Do you know how long it took us just to occasionally get POCKETS?

Welcome to the struggle.
November 13, 2025 at 5:07 PM
Ah another first as a woman: could not find a pair of pants that both fit me and had a zipper. This feels like it should be illegal.

I've been silently tolerating Nerdskull for a while because I've lucked out and managed not to see anything from him that would force me to immediately call in an orbital strike.

This post has singlehandedly brought that state of affairs to an end.
@nerdskull.bsky.social you are a fucking creep and the only fixture of your personality is a reflexive need to sexually abuse women. when you look in the mirror and feel anxious—i see what you are too. yea you really are that repulsive. you really shouldn’t be here. you really shouldn’t be anywhere.

The good news: discoloration could sometimes be caused by sudden hormone changes such as well... lol.
Love that I'm discovering new discoloration spots on my face every few days. Skin doctor appointment can't come soon enough. If I'm getting skin cancer the same time my acne is clearing up, I swear to god...

Ultimately this whole thing again has the establishment deferring to a cis woman as knowing whats best for trans people and scolding us trannies for daring to disagree
Yknow thinking more about MPs championing the no phones in schools thing in Brianna Ghey’s name just how arrogant you gotta be as a cis person not to wonder where all the trans people endorsing your project are at named after a girl murdered for being trans
