Re: Liquid Death vs Liquid IV ads

On the one hand, I could overspend on a weirdly flavored drink that is NOT coffee that contains the same amount of caffeine (WHY?)

Or stare at my pee. And have intrusive thoughts about singing toilets, judging me.

Marketing people, u ok?

I should love intense defensive games. A good fan appreciates the dramatic grind and tension.

Intellectually I appreciate it.

Emotionally, I hate it.

I love this Pats D, but c’mon guys let’s have a lil turnover maybe? Please?

And I make no apologies for being a Pats fan. I was a Pats Fan long before Kraft came to town, I will be a Pats fan long after he’s gone. 🏈

Former Washington Post journalists have launched a GoFundMe to help repatriate fired staff members who are effectively stranded in foreign countries.

One of the richest men in the world fired them from the paper and didn’t even pay to ensure they got home.

For those not familiar, Tumblr was worth about 1.1 bn when D’Onifrio became CEO.

Later it sold for less than 3 mil and DOnofrio was quietly brushed out the door.
OK so now the former CEO of Tumblr is running the Washington Post. Tumblr. A company whose history is a textbook case study in corporate value destruction.

Oh he is so wrong.
This is bleak: Jes Staley, currently CEO of Barclays, reassuring Epstein that popular revolt against financial elites is unlikely because capitalism and pop culture have defanged social movements, leaving people more invested in consumption than justice.

I’m trying to think of a parallel that non-terminally online people might comprehend so they can understand how stupid this is.

I’m struggling.

But I think “imagine electing a guy who bankrupted a casino president” might do it.
Will Lewis is resigning as WaPo CEO, former Tumblr CEO Jeff D’Onofrio is the paper’s new acting CEO and publisher, per memos to staff

That highly classified whistleblower report Tulsi Gabbard covering up?

Guardian reports it’s an NSA intercept of a call between a close Trump associate and “an individual associated with foreign intelligence.”

Sounds similar to Trump’s campaign chair meeting Russian intel and sharing data in 2016.

Here is the FBI's Epstein List - by Julie k Brown

Contrary to what the FBI and DOJ have said over the past year, it turns out there really is an FBI list of other people suspected of possible wrongdoing in connection with Jeffrey Epstein.

Confirms what I already knew from all the times I did & did not speak out about being sexually asaulted.

People might believe you. They won’t do anything about it. But they will punish you for expecting them to.

We learned kicking the hornet nest just increases the danger we’re already in.
"It’s hard not to read these files and come to the conclusion that Epstein helped engineer the ultimate elite impunity — in which our society has been totally destroyed so the richest and most powerful men in the world can do whatever they want."

When I check on the British politics page for @the-independent.com, my politics reporter colleagues are all Epstein all the time (as they should be). But in the U.S., the closest thing to accountability is... Bill Clinton testifying before Congress.

The Epstein scandal is taking down Europe’s political class. In the US, they’re getting a pass.
As Europe moves to address its shame, it’s highlighting the comparative lack of accountability in the U.S.

Hi Kelly Ayotte, think you can come up with a position on this?

What say you, is this a good investment or a waste of taxpayer funds?

Think carefully.
I'm really asking: What is the math on all of this? If Metro Surge started Dec 1, and they claim to have deported 4,000 people, at a cost of $18 million a week, and it's been ten weeks, they show no sign of leaving, and we leave out the murders—$2billion to destroy us?
