But there are real dangers out there that must be fought; and energy spent fighting each other is energy lost to that bigger fight.

Schumer wanted to keep fighting for political reasons. Shaheen and crew wanted the deal because the shutdown had become pointless as there was no ACA deal to be had with Republicans. In my book they were both right. Schumer for wanting the fight and Shaheen for sticking to reality.

I told you, but so many loud talking know-nothings had Schumer diarhea of the mouth. People on the Hill talk to me because I am LOYAL. I keep their confidences and I NEVER stab them in the back for clicks. If I am punching, I am punching Republicans.

Senate Republicans were never going to agree to ACA credits because they don't give a fuck about the American people.

Yup. I said this earlier today, but it was only a guess. Thanks for confirming it. It is no coincidence that of the 8 who came forward to do this, none of them are running in 2026. But they ran cover for some who are.

Like the entire reason we're in this mess is because whites have never been able to follow this remarkably simple instruction. So to gloat about it and pretend it's a dumb slogan is such a bizarre choice. Like a burn victim mocking "stop, drop, and roll."
People talk a lot of shit about "vote blue no matter who" but as a short-term electoral strategy to oust the explicit white supremacist Christian nationalist party, I have yet to hear a real alternative.

Snuff out the GOP. Then we can figure out the rest.

Health care is a human right — and it’s already unaffordable in this country. If this disastrous Senate CR reaches the House, I’m a firm no.

The question is will the so-called “bipartisan” Republicans in the House stand with us to save our health care?

What just happened on the Senate floor was a disgrace.

In the same chamber where the nation watched Senator McCain show courage in saving the ACA, now we see a vote that will lead to millions losing healthcare. 1/2

We're debating on the government funding package right now and every single Republican voted against a Democratic amendment to pass a clean, one-year extension of the ACA tax credits.

Republicans just don't care about your health care.

Look man, little seems less appealing to me than going out and negotiating my own insurance. That sounds like a goddamn nightmare. I just want to have insurance and have it be affordable. That’s it. I don’t wanna have to talk to people and negotiate rates and shit. What the fuck.

No one should doubt for a single second who is to blame for skyrocketing health care costs: Republicans and Republicans alone.

And families across the country will pay the price of Republican inaction every single month.

God fucking damn, this website not beating this day old rap IME.
I think there is a near-pathological remove from which a lot of people on this website view politics. For all the talk about material conditions, a refusal to see the effects on material shutdown that have happened and were worsening. “Yeah but the other guy’ll get blamed” can change on a dime.
