Today we've hit 99% of our April 1 average snowpack statewide and 100% of average for this date. That last storm really helped out!

Three years at or above average is exceedingly rare in California with the last occurrence being in the late 1990s. Time to celebrate!

The one thing I'll miss about Teslas is that they redirected a lot of shade that was previously thrown on Prius drivers.

Very simply (and pardon the language), this is Donald Trump, in his total ignorance about how American agriculture works, telling American farmers to go fuck themselves. Destroying international markets for US food products will not only kill people overseas, but destroy US many farms.

Just learned about Boycott Central, a handy website to track active boycotts and work towards more organize boycotts.
While the Feb 28 boycott misses some important elements for high impact, I am thinking of it as training and organization testing for more impactful boycotts in the near future.

For every $1 the IRS spends auditing the top 1%, it can collect $13.

For every $1 the IRS spends auditing the top 0.1%, it can collect $26.

Laying off 7,000 IRS employees (during tax season) isn't about efficiency.

It's about making it easier for the rich to evade taxes.

What happened to USAID foments a constitutional crisis the likes of which most Americans haven't seen in their lifetimes.

You can't just eliminate it. When/if courts say so, will Trump/Musk defer? Courts don't have armies.

ProPublica’s reporting provides new details about what legal risk officials were prepared to take and what laws they may have violated on their way to creating a “constitutional crisis.”
