Day 224
REALITY CHECK:
The election was highly compromised.
There was a coup.
The Supreme Court was the primary lever.
Everything we have witnessed is TREASON.
There’s no way out of this without MASS MOVEMENTS of the people.
No one is coming to save us.
We must rise up in peaceful revolution NOW.

Seems like as good a time as any to reshare my story on the Coffee County voting system breach, which details the key role Giuliani played in Trump’s effort to overturn the 2020 election.

Genuinely upsetting
Photo passed along from a federal employee from inside the Dept of Labor building, where a giant Orwellian image of Trump's face is now draped outside.

Big Brother is watching.

If you're 60, 69.1% of all job growth since your birth occurred under Democratic administrations.

If you're 45, that number is 74.7%.

If you're under 28, the number is 100%.

Happy Labor Day.

The thing about a lot of these never Trump Republicans is that, unlike a lot of institutionalist Dems who think the fever will break and we can all return to comity or whatever, these guys saw the rot up close and know the only appropriate response is to tear them out of government root and branch.
If you had told me in 2012 that Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign manager would be posting like this 13 years later i would not have believed you

Pour one out for Judge Sparkle Sooknanan’s clerks this Labor Day weekend
Can we stop to talk about how remarkable the timing was? Compliant at 1am, Judge engaged at 2am, ex parte call to the Government at 2:30am (they did not answer), TRO at 4am?

On a Sunday of a holiday weekend?!

Medicare for all, paid leave, universal childcare.

Busting up big corporations and tackling Wall Street’s greed.

Getting big money out of politics.

Supporting unions and fighting for higher wages.

If Dems want to win back working people, this is the agenda they must support.

Make no mistake, everything that’s happening in the United States is being significantly enabled by the right wing oligarch capture of media.

Every other country needs to do everything possible to keep that from happening where they are.

Including protecting the CBC from Poilievre here in Canada.

DOGE wasn’t a cost-cutting venture. It was a data mining operation for private interests. Trump opened the gates to the castle from inside for invaders with bad and greedy intent to plunder and exploit.

Explaining this to my students was fun.

"When you spend money to buy stuff, does the place where you shopped buy stuff from you?"

Of course not.

"That's a trade deficit, then. Is it bad?"

Well, no, I have the stuff I bought still.

"EXACTLY!"
