These were both dictionary-definition acts of physical courage. But libs are supposed to be wimps. So the desire is to backfill some reason why Pretti acted stupidly or Omar (who has dealt with threats for years) couldn't really be physically courageous.

This is already illegal. If they would violate existing law (not out of the question) then what would a new law reiterating the existing law do. Or is there some kind of new language that would expand existing law?
This is apt. It’s not just that strategic, city-wide invasions would make fair elections in those cities impossible. Between roving patrols and Kavanaugh stops, a much smaller DHS presence would also be a nightmare for immigrant-citizen turnout.

It is literally false that the Jews being hunted by Nazis were citizens, because the first step toward genocide was stripping them of citizenship and making them stateless. As Arendt reminds us, citizenship is a legal category created to facilitate a machinery of exclusion of the out-group.
