It takes an obscene amount of hubris to lecture the BBC when you have The Telegraph’s record on truth-telling.

Some of the paper’s errors this year are so bad they’re almost laughable 👇🏻

With millions in public money handed to private interests and serious questions over transparency and accountability, why hasn’t there been an inquiry into the goings-on on Teesside?

Nothing says you’re the party of small business like taking £200k off Lord Bamford, who cares so much about the little guy that he’s being investigated for potentially £500million in offshored tax.

Reform UK don’t care about small business.

If this is true - this should have happened a long time ago.

The Green Party alongside campaigners have been calling for this - and it's good to see maybe they've finally listened.

Should Gibb be sacked? yes, obviously. He's an abomination of basic journalistic standards. His GB News channel spreads conspiracy theory & disinformation. His Jewish Chronicle newspaper spreads invented stories. He is plainly trying to undermine the BBC so it's as bad as everything else he touches.

Once every 20 years or so, the director-general of the BBC is forced to resign for being insufficiently rightwing. Alastair Milne in 1987. Greg Dyke in 2004. Tim Davie in 2025. The great irony is that the BBC was in all cases profoundly biased towards established power. But just not biased enough …

I had my disagreements with the BBC under Tim Davie but he was a decent man doing a difficult job.

To see Trump's White House claiming credit for his downfall and attacking the BBC should worry us all.

They don't just hate the journalism: they hate everything else about the BBC, not least that it is all things to all people.

"All people" is anathema to the Right. They'd put a contract out on David Attenborough if they had to.
