A fun fact about me is that no matter how hard I try, I will NEVER remember which one is a common dolphin and which is a white-sided dolphin

Also REMINDER! Just in time (not quite in time?) for NaNo, my outlining class is being offered on Sep 14, 7 pm ET!

This is $30 but there will be two free seats in each class for those experiencing financial hardship. :)

Nothing makes me feel more than an Anglophone dingus than trying to fill in a table in French

y'all, we had the friendliest humpback whale! they approached our boat & got right in our faces! they had a little solitary barnacle on their dorsal fin 🥺 I've been getting great looks at whale barnacles, including the stalked barnacles parasitizing the whale barnacles & I couldn't be happier 🌊🌿🦑🧪📸

We were standing near a trash can at a concert (5/5 entertainment value, highly recommend this placement) and a man with a media pass walked into the side of it while brandishing the pass like he fully expected it would make the garbage can move.

And later he did it AGAIN, from the other side!!

New Eocene whale from Peru might have been the largest vertebrate ever. Ridiculous pachyostotic vertebrae in this beast.

I always forget to participate in INVERTEFEST but maybe this year I will remember and find some jellyfish
Greetings, chordate comrades.

#InverteFest is upon us. It's a periodic event where we invite you to celebrate the overlooked invertebrate fauna around you for an entire week. It's happening on whichever social platform you're on, so feel free to reupload this image to spread the word!
