How do you maintain a relationship with a loved one who has embraced conspiracy thinking to the point of alienating the whole family—and should you? The three-part podcast "Alternate Realities" offers a deeply moving exploration of this question, told in the first person. www.npr.org/2025/02/23/1...

I can't let go of Facebook, mainly because the "Science diagrams that look like shitposts" group is essential to my well-being (and r/ScienceShitposts doesn’t have the same flavour). Do you know other people with the same hobby on Bluesky? We could use a starter pack or two.

Hi everyone.

The Onion, with the help of the Sandy Hook families, has purchased InfoWars.

We are planning on making it a very funny, very stupid website.

We have retained the services of some Onion and Clickhole Hall of Famers to pull this off.

I can't wait to show you what we have cooked up.
The Onion Buys Alex Jones’s Infowars Out of Bankruptcy
The satirical news site planned to turn Infowars into a parody of itself, mocking “weird internet personalities” who peddle conspiracy theories and health supplements.

I found a box for collecting outdated X-rays pictures. I wonder if they are successfully destroyed, or if someone, somewhere, is relaxing in a room full of tibias.

So sad to learn we lost Evelyn Fox Keller, a towering figure in #science, the #historyofscience, #philosophyofscience, #womeninscience and so much more. I had the honor or getting to know her when she was a scientist in residence at the Exploratorium. Sleep in the stars, Evelyn #RIP nyti.ms/3F7zqyN

This article hits very close to home. I had the same experience with the tango / dance communities during the pandemic. Hearing people I was very close to rave about the Great Reset for months was so painful that I stopped dancing altogether.
