As something else I should mention about the NPC characters. I don't have super strong feelings but I think if people find them glazing Samus annoying...
By this point in the timeline Samus has: Defeated Mother Brain on Zebes, destroyed Gorea (Hunters), saved the Luminoth, and destroyed Phaaze lol.

I have to say, what shocks me the most about Prime 4 playing it is just how on point it feels to the older ones on a game feel level.
Like yeah some buttons were moved, and aspects tweaked but it legit is a new Metroid Prime game and it's wild.
Coming straight off the marathon it fits right in.

There are weird and experimental things in here, sure. But also every Prime game is experimental. It is the most experimental half of the franchise.
Some of the complaints I see feel like people only played Prime 1 and the 2D games lol.
