Rinck is a one-woman council majority.
Big news: Alexis Rinck's Better Bus Lanes budget amendment officially has five co-sponsors, giving it majority support on the city council.
Flanked by a crowd of transit advocates, Seattle Councilmember Alexis Mercedes Rinck announced a "Better Bus Lanes" campaign on Wednesday, demanding expanded and improved bus lanes on the city's busiest routes.

Bruce Harrell’s campaign just sent me one of the most out of touch campaign messages I’ve ever received. It says a lot about a person if they think grandparents helping to pay for child care is some kind of scandal. If this is the worst they’ve got on Katie Wilson, that’s practically an endorsement.

Don’t do that. Listen to the workers

We should protect the Dreamers and young people who know no other home than America. When DACA is under attack, so are the dreams, hopes, and futures of DACA recipients and their families.

Congress must act—DACA must remain in place.

The scenes from Los Angeles are a stark reminder that Trump's mass deportation agenda has already begun—a deliberate assault on immigrant families that violates our most basic values of human dignity and due process.

Make no mistake: these are not targeted operations against dangerous criminals.

Fine, I’ll say it: THIS IS NOT FUCKING OKAY.

We have to use our voices to speak out against what is happening. We must refuse to let history repeat itself. Reject the racism, and the authoritarianism.

Believe in your own power to transform this country. Our future depends on it.

I wonder how and where we can accomplish that.

Enforcement & labor rights education are THE way to make those rights real in the lives of workers.

❗️The measure to repeal ranked-choice voting in Alaska is now trailing — by 192 votes statewide.

The roughly 3.9K ballots counted today broke for the 'no' by 29%. (About as many more ballots remain, probably a little more.)
